Nathan : I called out to God for help and He delivered me.

I was on the toilet floor with my head in the bowl when I called out to God for help – He delivered me.

I received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues on my 19^th birthday. At that point I knew everything the church and the bible said about salvation was true. A couple of years later I found myself praying and reading the bible less and less, my life no longer resembled that of a Christian as I had begun drinking and clubbing and eventually left the church on bad terms.

My life deteriorated outside of the church and it didn’t matter how much “fun” I was having or how drunk I got, the knowledge that what I was doing was wrong ate at me all the time. One night while on a pub-crawl, I took an ecstasy tablet and found myself burning up and totally disorientated. I hadn’t drunk any water all night and was in a lot of pain. I was on the toilet floor with my head in the bowl when I called out to the Lord for help and He delivered me. I completely sobered up and the excruciating pain left me. This experience humbled me and made me realise the importance of God in my life. I soon found myself back in the church and I thank God for that He made a way for me to return.
